I was out and about today looking for some accessories for my computer. Because I didn’t ask when I purchased it, I do not have a computer that came with Microsoft Office. Luckily, there is an alternative called OpenOffice which is open source. (Think Firefox to Explorer) But here’s the not so good news; because my company has a website, I usually use Microsoft FrontPage. And guess what, they have discontinued that program. While shopping I think I found the replacement but it costs around five hundred dollars! What the crap, right?
So I’ve spent most of my day looking for alternatives to FrontPage, trying to find maybe some open source material. I’ve found Nvu and Pagebreeze but I’m not sure if I’m sold on either one yet.
Does anyone have anything they’ve been playing with that’s free and workable? I should tell you that I am not HTML savvy and like to play with things that falls under the “What You See Is What You Get” category.

But on to some good news! The electrician fixed the AC unit in my part of the building. So now my office is cooling down.
Where would we be without air conditioning units?
I had someone actually believe that people could not survive without them and she was totally serious. She figured we would die from the heat. (global warming anyone?)
