The Obama Takeover Plan

October 26, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here is the transcript from last week’s address.

That’s why the Recovery Act was designed to help small businesses expand and create jobs.

Is that why most of the money went to large banks and Wall Street? Seems to me that the Recovery Act was designed to bail out the greedy lawless CEOs and major corporations.

I also announced that we’ll be taking additional steps through our Financial Stability plan to make more credit available to the small local and community banks that so many small businesses depend on

So small businesses may be under his control as well?

I see this administration sticking its finger into places where it shouldn’t. There are some aspects of life that the federal government should stay away from. It doesn’t need to own everything.

I have a feeling that President Obama’s team may take the credit for the success of the latest scare movie, Paranormal Activity and how it owns Hollywood.

Like this post, this is getting ridiculous.

Obama’s Takeover Of Football

October 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

First it was the banks.

Then it was the car companies.

Next will be health insurance.

After President Obama and our federal government has taken over those industries, he’s looking to take over college football’s BCS.

If you will remember, shortly after winning the general election, President Obama said he was going to, “throw my weight around a little bit” in order to push the BCS to change to a playoff format.

This past Wednesday, Senator Orrin Hatch sent a ten page letter stating

Mr. President, as you have publicly stated on multiple occasions, the BCS system is in dire need of reform

Hatch believes the BCS violates an anti-trust law?

For crying out loud, this is college football and this Senator is crying foul because his team isn’t making it to the big bowl games.

When will we get people in our government who want to see a better America and not cry over their lack of milk money? The immaturity of our federal officials is insane.

Maybe the 2010 elections will change the character make-up of Congress and let them get back to the real work we elected them to do.

Children Taught Obama Praise Songs

October 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment

There are youtube videos of school children singing praise songs to President Obama.

I wouldn’t have a problem with this normally. I don’t see anything wrong with singing songs about The President of The United States. We sing songs about people all the time.

And to add insult to injury, the principal of the school in New Jersey where this video took place has received death threats!

It’s just getting out of control. All this hatred. First, if you disagree with the President you’re racist. If you agree with the President, you get death threats.

The one song is a kind of rap that basically speaks of what President Obama said he wanted to do as President.

Here are the lyrics:

Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue —- Mr. President we know you’ll do the trick
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

Obama Wrestles With Money

October 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here is the full transcript for you to read

Over the better part of the past year, a great debate has taken place in Washington and across America, about how to reform our health care system to provide security for people with insurance, coverage for those without insurance, and lower costs for everyone.

I guess it all depends on what he means by “great”. I don’t think the name-calling and screaming (from both sides) equals anything great. If he means, large – then I will grant him the use of great when talking about the health care reform debate.

we can point to a broad and growing coalition of doctors and nurses, [...] including leading Democrats and many leading Republicans – who recognize the urgency of action.

I don’t think anyone would claim that action is not needed in our health care system. I think it’s the form of action. We all agree something must be done, change must occur. Not all agree on your plan.

But this is not the time to pat ourselves on the back.

As you did when you “learned” of your Nobel Prize??? But we won’t get into that.

No – your administration should not pat the backs quite yet. Jobs are still disappearing and you can no longer blame President Bush for this. This job loss is all on you.

[The Insurance Companies are] filling the airwaves with deceptive and dishonest ads. They’re flooding Capitol Hill with lobbyists and campaign contributions.  And they’re funding studies designed to mislead the American people.

I would like to see the proof of this. I’m not denying that it’s happening, I would just like to see an example or two.

But what I will not abide are those who would bend the truth – or break it – to score political points and stop our progress as a country.

Mark those words Mr. President. You said them and now you are being held accountable. May you never bend the truth to score political points.

Dems Playing Race Card Again!

October 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

So let me get this straight, Federal Officials have the authority to deny ownership of an NFL team? I heard Democrats in Congress calling for the denial of Rush Limbaugh to be part owner of the St. Louis Rams.

And their reason?

He’s racist. He does not have the respect for some of the players in the league.

Can we believe that? Can you?

This is coming from the same party who raised a stink over Miss California’s answer to a gay marriage question.

This is getting scary, folks.

I’m seeing the same strategy within the Democratic party: If they disagree with us, they must be racist because they are anti-President Obama.

This is a dangerous road we’re traveling.

If only we could find a candidate who could rally his/her party to be a mix of President Bush & President Obama. Someone who has a thick hide, who can allow free speech without complaining about it being racist; and someone who desires to see true reform and transparency.

Quit calling those who disagree with you racist, it’s insulting.

Obama Becoming Bush

October 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The transcript is here.

Over and over again. We’re hearing the same mumbo-jumbo from a different President. The difference: Bush was war on terror; Obama is war on health care. All these Presidents do is repeat and repeat and repeat.

What’s that saying if you say something loud enough and long enough, you’ll start to believe it?

When I took office eight months ago, our nation was in the midst of an economic crisis unlike any we’d seen in generations.

The President cannot shake this anti-Bush mentality. This is your administration mucking things up now sir. Don’t give us this trash about what you inherited eight years ago. We’re sick of hearing you bemoan President Bush.

But yesterday’s report on September job losses was a sobering reminder that progress comes in fits and starts, and that we will need to grind out this recovery step by step.

Backpedaling after promising the people that recovery would happen quickly once your plan was in place. This is the second thing we’re sick of hearing repeated.

And I won’t let up until those who seek jobs can find them; until businesses that seek capital and credit can thrive; and until all responsible homeowners can stay in their homes.

This is different, he used to say he wouldn’t rest until the jobs come back. And yet he has time to play Oliver and beg the Olympic Commission to send them to Chicago. (Which failed horribly) But I saw that trial as our President attempting to bring in the big bucks which ties into him finding the resources.

Rising health care costs are undermining our businesses, exploding our deficits, and costing our nation more jobs with each passing month.

Once this reform passes through Congress (and we all know it will) what will be the next thing that is undermining this country that President Obama will save us from? I can guarantee there will be something we will “have to be afraid of”.

This has become the administration of the 21st Century – Pop Culture edition.
