Make no mistake, divorce is a horrible thing. I’d believe anyone who has gone through it would say that it is not an enjoyable time. It is not the desired result of anyone getting married.
Newt Gingrich has gone through two divorces.
We get to hear from his ex-wife. From ABC.
Does this strike anyone else as newsworthy? Two days before a major primary contest in fact.
And maybe it is newsworthy. Maybe the American people deserve to know how ugly their divorce was and how an ex-wife believes her ex-husband to be evil incarnate. This could all be true.
My rant is against the ABC newspeople. Is it odd that they are airing this interview at this time? Is it odd that they even conducted the interview? What possible insights may we glean from this interview?
Do you remember when John Edwards was running for President? Do you remember when the major news networks reported on his extramarital affair – while his wife was suffering from cancer? Wait a second…they didn’t. Not one major news agency carried the story. They sat on it. It was left up to the tabloid rags to deliver the facts.
All of a sudden the tabloids look like news and the major networks look like tabloid rags.
This is the final straw for me that ABC, and maybe CBS & NBC, are aligned with President Obama and the Democrat party. I want news that is worthy of my attention. I don’t want to read tabloid smear which is what this interview will be.
