I’m Ready To Experience This Economic Recovery

November 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

As of January 2010 I will no longer be employed by this company.

This company I have been trying to leave for some time. (if you’ve read the older posts, you’d see)

And I’m pretty fine with it. I wish I had more than a couple months to find employment, and I wish people were hiring.

Perhaps what I need to do is go to my government and look up all the thousand of jobs they’re creating because as far as I’ve seen, there is nothing that will provide the kind of income I need for a family.

Everyone is looking for part-time and no benefits.

Is it time to start pushing for Congress to act? People (Conservatives) are up in arms against this Health Care Reform but I’d like to hear them and what they have to say if they ever lose their coverage or are unable to afford it.

I’m ready for Obama’s strategy to work for me.

Unkept Promises, President Obama

September 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I’ve been moaning and complaining about this job ever since I began this blog. I was hoping I would have moved on by now – both physically and emotionally.

But here I am; in the same location, doing the same thing. But here’s the catch! They’re cutting my hours and salary in half and wanting me to do the same amount of work.

I want out of this place!

I thought I would be working with a new company and new faces…I don’t get it.

To top it off, my spouse’s job is going away. Well that’s not exactly true – they’re taking away the salary.

So here we are Mr. President Obama. You promised us recovery! You promised jobs! You promised a better America and all that you have to show for your promises is higher debt and higher unemployment.

Can you imagine what the outcry would’ve been like if this had happened under President Bush?!?! As it is, we’re seeing your approval ratings plummet. You’re finally seeing how people cannot stomach promises that aren’t kept.

You’re dragging this country under with your recovery plan and you actually think things are getting better.

You’re insulting to the American people – correction, the American people who are wise enough to see a fraud.

Harsh words for a President? Maybe but until I see the results you promised, I’ll be on your back like a crack cocaine monkey. When those results do come in, I’ll be more than happy to eat crow and spend however long apologizing.

New Path – Second Breath

June 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday I was talking with our regional secretary and decided to put my name into the hat for people willing to be CEOs of businesses within the region. We have branches all over and I used to just be an Associate but with the economy and the way finances are, I decided to take a leap and see if I am CEO material.

We shall see where this adventure takes me.

The Baby Is Here!

May 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I have a son! And thus begins the new adventure of parenthood…and long nights, perhaps.

Even with the new addition to the family, I will be returning to work next week so we’ll try to get back into the swing of things with these political posts.

Pro-Life vs Pro-Choice

April 25, 2009 · 16 Comments

Cutting right to the chase: if you find yourself promoting the Pro-Life position, I will want to see your name on the next “available to adopt” sign up sheet.

If you’re in agreement with the Pro-Life position, I want to see you out there protesting every single war in which people are killed.

If you call yourself a “Pro-Lifer”, we need to see you protesting against the death penalty.

Pro-Life doesn’t end once an infant is born. Pro-Life covers all of…LIFE!

I get confused when people defend their views of Pro-Life and Pro-death penalty by saying, “well that murderer made his choice.” So, you’re telling me you’re pro-choice?

And when the pro-lifers make angry remarks toward a woman who is thinking about or has already had an abortion, do they provide another option? Would they be willing to provide a safe home for this new person?

A majority would say, “No thank you. Not in my house. She made her choice and now she has to live with it.” So once again I see pro-choice.

Prove me wrong. If you’re pro-life, show me that you’re willing to go beyond the politics of life.

President Obama Hates Special Needs Kids

March 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Most of you have heard the comments President Obama  made on the Jay Leno show. Here it is again:

And let the opinions fly right? There was an editorial in my local paper denouncing what he said.

Let’s work through this: The President made a comment about his bowling abilities by equating them to those playing in The Special Olympics. Those who participate in the Special Olympics have varying forms of mental illness. Do they also have physical disabilities? I don’t know for sure.

The fact of the matter is, participants in Special Olympics do not perform in the same level as a highschool, college or professional level. Obama was saying he doesn’t bowl as well as others.

He said it at the expense of people in Special Olympics? Yes. He should not have said it? Depends – it depends on how anal we’re going to be.

My question is, what was the President of The United States doing on the Jay Leno show? Isn’t that a little “beneath” the Office of President?

There are those who claim it’s good to have our President out among the people. I think we may get tired of seeing him all time…”How dare you?!” You say? Perhaps my friends, perhaps.

Is an apology really necessary?

Marine One Blueprints Leaked

March 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Remember when President Obama was going to get a new fleet of Marine One choppers? Well not really him because the plans were in place before his term began.

It doesn’t matter because he decided not to move ahead with the expensive overhaul.

It was discovered that blueprints to these new models were leaked onto the Internet and a user in Iran picked them up!

Security breach much?

Officials said the information found on those files were not classified so it’s all good.

Seriously?!? Information concerning anything Presidential should never get out like that. Let alone to the Iranians.
