Things have begun. The process has commenced…whatever other silly phrases can be made, the business vision has some wind. I’m feeling the first sense of excitement maybe. Of course, we did need to reel in the focus a couple times, but everyone was in agreement with the new plan and I’m happy.
While this is going on, of course, I’m in talks with another business to be hired with them. Talks with this new company will begin as early as next week.
My options are officially “open”.

Something is beginning to happen. I went into a meeting with my boss with a rough-cut version of the vision I had. This meeting, this rough vision catapulted us into thinking about new, fresh ideas. So it worked, a vision is being created. In about three weeks, we’re going to meet with the Board and brainstorming with them about creating and casting this new vision. I am slightly excited.
However.
I am not happy at all with the financial state we’re in. This company cannot support two full-time employees at the rate we’re working with. My salary is sucking up the resources. And as far as employee-participant ratio goes, it should be 1:100. This company should be handling two hundred people with me on board. We don’t even have 1:100 anymore. My boss tells me he doesn’t want it to come down to either of us leaving but I’m not comfortable taking resources that could be spent elsewhere. I’m not comfortable putting that strain on the few supporters we have.
The idea of a name change and new vision may be what causes this group to become excited. Because, I’ll tell you, they are apathetic right now. And that needs to change.
